Performer/Teacher/Choreographer Regional and National Broadway Tours and North Jersey Dance Company. Frequent guest teacher at several grammar/high schools and universities. Executive producer of award winning Dance Vista cable telelvision program-now in its 15th season. Artistic director/choreographer for the Kennedy Dancers.
Laurel Zaleski: Laurel Zaleski is a Jersey City based dancer, choreographer and teacher. Moving since birth- she has always been fascinated by the physicality of dance and the power of dance to evoke a cerebral response. Laurel has had the opportunity to dance all around the globe. In 2005 she attended the Jacobs Pillow Summer Dance Intensive where she performed works both classical and contemporary. She has danced in Copenhagen Denmark with the Royal Danish Ballet as part of their Bournonville Program. Also, she studied under Anna Marie Holmes at the Ballet Adriatico summer intensive in Ascoli Piceno, Italy. In 2010 Laurel received the Newcomb Fellows Grant and participated in the Skiing on Skin contact improvisation festival in Karjaa, Finland. She graduated from Tulane University where she was awarded the Minnette L. Starts award for her outstanding work the dance program. Since moving to New York Laurel has worked administratively for numerous New York City based dance organizations including; Hee Ra Yoo and Dancers, Sydney L. Mosley Dances, and Peridance Capezio Center. Laurel also had the opportunity to perform with Hee Ra Yoo and Dancers and in 2011 Laurel performed with Giada Farone in a Contemporary Nutcracker at the Alvin Ailey Center. She is currently teaches ballet, Jazz and modern at The Kennedy Dancers and is dancer in their professional company. Also, she is a registered 200-hr yoga and pre/post natal certified instructor through the Yoga Alliance and teaches for FlorYoga in Jersey City.
Bong Dizon (Teacher) graduated from California State University, Hayward with a BA in Theatre Arts Dance Option. Regional theatre credits include Miss Saigon, Hairspray, Music Man and Antigone.Choreography Credits include Seussical, The Musical, Peter Pan and Hairspray. In New York, he has had the honor of dancing with Amalgamate Dance Company, Six Degrees Dance Company, HT Chen Dance Company, The Physical Plant with Karesia Batan, John J. Zullo Dance/Raw Movement, Michelle DuVall Dance Collective and of course The Kennedy Dancers of Jersey City. He has also re-staged Alice in Love? with his very own Bleeding Toe Dance Company at Bare Soles, as presented by the Kennedy Dancers, along with fellow teacher and dancer, Laurel Zaleski.. Bong is also the coordinator the Bare Soles events for the Kennedy Dancers where artist of dance, music and visual arts come together to have their talents showcased to the community.
Gigi Dragone Horan
Gigi was a student of the Kennedy Dancers for well over 10 years and she was also a student of dance at the School of Technology for 4 years. Gigi has also taught Belly Dancing and Zumba and has also been an teaching assistant in a variety of classes at the Kennedy Dancers. Gigi has also taught several years of Summer Camp at the Kennedy Dancers. Gigi has also danced with the Inner City Youth Junior Dance Company, as well as the Kennedy Dancers Repertory Company, as a transitioning semi-professional company member.
Rachel was a student of the Kennedy Dancers for 8 years prior to becoming part of the teaching staff at the Kennedy Dancers. Rachel has taught Zumba, ballet, hip hop, tap and has also has been a teacher's assistant to several other classes. Rachel has also danced with the Kennedy Dancer's Inner City Youth Junior Dance Company, as well as the Kennedy Dancers Repertory Company, as a transitioning semi-professional company member.
Tiffhanie is a current student at the Kennedy Dancers and has been taking dance there for 5 years. Afters 5 years of training with the Kennedy Dancers, she was then asked to be part of the staff as a teaching assistant, helping out with the ballet, tap, hip hop and gymnastics classes for our younger students. Tiffhanie is also a returning member of the Kennedy Dancers Inner City Youth Junior Dance Company, having danced with them for 5 years.
